Is Morgan Rogers in Line For a Contraction Extension?

Aston Villa forward, Morgan Rogers, is reportedly in talks with the club about a potential contract extension.

Back in February, Rogers left Middlesbrough FC to join Villa on a five-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee, although reports speculate that the fee amounted to a cool £15 million.

Since then, the 22-year-old Englishman has netted two goals and registered three assists in 12 appearances across all competitions in the 2024/25 season.

Because of his incredible performances and excellent form, head coach Unai Emery is aiming to retain Rogers’ services for the foreseeable future. This would involve extending his current contract and increasing his salary to be in line with that of his team-mates.

A similar situation played out earlier last month, in which Villa forward Jhon Duran was offered a lucrative two-year contract extension.

Negotiations between Rogers, Emery and Villa are said to be in progress. A decision is expected to be made in the coming weeks – as always, watch this space!
